Uddevalla Municipality has chosen Cuviva as its digital partner to establish a new digital service-delivery unit within social services. The initiative is part of a long-term strategy to meet future care needs through innovative, secure and scalable digitalisation.
Through the digital service-delivery unit, Uddevalla will be able to offer support to citizens in need, entirely digitally. The first phase includes home-care services delivered via video calls, chat, informational support and other smart tools. Over time, the digital service will expand to additional operations and user groups.
Cuviva’s CEO, Henrik Cederqvist, highlights the importance of the collaboration:
“We are very pleased to support Uddevalla’s digital transformation. Our platform is designed to combine safety and quality with efficient use of resources. Uddevalla is showing real foresight by building a digital unit that strengthens both care users and staff.”
Like many regions in Sweden, Uddevalla faces a rapidly growing elderly population while staffing levels in care services remain limited. Digital support enables the municipality to offer high-quality help to more citizens, with improved continuity and resource efficiency.
Expected benefits include:
The digital unit will be operated by trained assistant nurses delivering digital home-care services.
After evaluating five digital platforms, Uddevalla concluded that Cuviva provided the most comprehensive and flexible solution. The platform meets strict security requirements and supports essential features such as video communication, follow-up processes, quality measurement and future system integrations.
Ulrika Olsson, Unit Manager at Uddevalla Municipality, explains:
“Cuviva was chosen thanks to its wide functionality and the ability to grow step by step with our needs.”
