Cuviva Strengthens Its Customer Organization in Healthcare and Social Care

The e-health company Cuviva is expanding and strengthening its organization with Karl-Johan Palmgren, former sales manager at Sekoia. Palmgren will be responsible for Cuviva’s advisory work with municipalities and support their digitalization of healthcare and social care.

“Cuviva can truly make a difference in the challenges that municipalities and regions face due to an aging population and increasing pressure on healthcare and social care resources. I am very excited to join the Cuviva team and to be part of a company driven by strong values. I hope to contribute to enabling more municipalities to provide sustainable and equitable healthcare and social care with the strong support of digital tools,” says Karl-Johan Palmgren.

Cuviva develops e-health solutions aimed at helping those most in need within healthcare and social care, particularly patients with multiple chronic conditions and frail elderly individuals. This group represents around 3-4 percent of the population but accounts for more than half of the total healthcare and social care costs.

“We must start where the needs are greatest. Cuviva has demonstrated that it is possible to create proactive and person-centered care for chronically ill and frail elderly individuals—improving outcomes for everyone involved. I see that the breadth of the Cuviva platform meets many of the needs and challenges that municipalities face, not only within home healthcare but also in implementing social services (SOL) and disability support (LSS). I want to help raise awareness within the healthcare and social care sector about the opportunities available today,” says Karl-Johan Palmgren.

With Cuviva’s user-friendly digital tools, which include tablets and healthcare/social care sensors, individuals can move from digital exclusion to daily contact via chat and video calls with healthcare and social care providers. They can conduct screenings and self-assessments, receive assistance in creating routines and structure in daily life, measure and report vital signs themselves, and access integrated safety-enhancing solutions within the same interface. This enables individuals to remain safely at home while receiving proactive care.

“Karl-Johan has extensive industry experience and unique expertise in assisting municipalities with their digital transformation. He will play a key role in advising municipalities on how best to digitalize healthcare and social care,” says Henrik Cederqvist, CEO and co-founder of Cuviva.

Cuviva is behind the widely recognized digitalization of the Home Hospital in Borgholm and has been ranked as one of the Nordic region’s top 100 impact companies by the Norrsken Foundation.
